Dr. Rain B. Moore serves as Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer at West County Health Centers, bringing nearly two decades of dedicated service to the community. After completing her medical degree at Penn State College of Medicine, she has established herself as a compassionate family physician with a particular enthusiasm for pediatric care.
Growing up throughout California, from the Monterey Bay area to San Rafael and Laguna Beach, Dr. Moore developed a deep connection to diverse communities that influences her approach to healthcare. Her mission to “connect with people and bring excellence to partner in their health needs” shapes every aspect of her medical practice. During her 15-20 year tenure at WCHC, she has played an instrumental role in community health initiatives, including leading crucial COVID-19 vaccination efforts early in the pandemic. Her contributions were recently recognized with the 2023 Alumnus of the Year award from the Santa Rosa Residency program.
Dr. Moore’s expertise spans the full spectrum of family medicine, reflecting her commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care. When not serving patients or leading medical initiatives, she can be found pursuing her passion for cooking and pickling, tending to her garden, or crocheting. She shares her home with her beloved dog, Hanzo, and values time spent with family and friends. Her dedication to WCHC’s mission-driven work and collaborative community continues to inspire both colleagues and patients alike.
